WNC LEADERSHIP ALLIANCE

WNC Leaders: Pioneers of Recovery and Reinvention

WNC leaders are making history. They are seizing opportunity, salvaging resources, and overcoming obstacles. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, area leaders are being called upon to do more than manage business, they are rebuilding their communities. WNC leaders possess all the qualities that leaders need today to navigate the fast-moving winds of change. They have the energy to accomplish great things. And we can help.

Support Leaders And Aspiring Leaders In WNC...

Leadership Matters.

MISSION-DRIVEN

The demands placed on leaders are increasingly complex. Leaders are expected to be adaptive, AI-literate, and psychologically aware. At the same time, they must maintain their health and wellbeing if they are to show up fully and model the way for others. Without a steady source of learning, support, and guidance, WNC is challenged to develop and retain talented leaders who seek career and lifestyle opportunities for growth.

WNC Leadership Alliance enables leaders and aspiring leaders to achieve a standard of excellence through which they rise above day-to-day challenges and succeed in a community where careers and business thrive.

Values we live by

1

Leadership Education Should be Local

WNC leaders prefer learning with peers who live and work locally and have experienced similar challenges. They can also learn from their peers as well as their instructors.

2

Leadership Education should be Accessible

Most businesses in WNC are small. They develop organically. Leadership education and support must be relevant, cost-effective, and flexible so that leaders can participate.

3

Leadership Education Should be Ongoing

One-off workshops are insufficient. Leaders need ongoing, accessible coaching and opportunities to collaborate with dedicated learning resources available in the community.

PATH TO SUCCESS

Together, we can Help WNC Leaders Reach new heights.

WNC Leadership Alliance (WNCLA) was founded on the premise that a thriving community doesn’t just happen. Rather, it’s the result of people holding a clear vision for the future with the determination to see it through.

The most immediate gap is the capacity to lead through sustained adversity. Businesses have an ongoing need for scenario planning, cash flow management under duress, and emotional intelligence to effectively lead stressed teams.

With these challenges in mind, we focus on enabling leaders to succeed at building a community where business and careers can thrive. We accomplish this through:

Leadership Training and Development
Learning Edge, our leadership education and certificate program encourages and recognizes achievement while preparing leaders for the challenges ahead.

Leadership Discussion Group
Peer Possibilities, is a cadre of community leaders focused on defining and communicating a region-wide vision for leadership growth and prosperity.

Local Leadership Analysis
The State of Leadership in WNC, annual regional leadership report, combines local quantitative and qualitative data to track and evaluate leadership performance and how it impacts WNC.

Youth Leadership Education
Coming Soon: WNC Youth Leadership Foundation is being formed to provide scholarships and programs designed specifically for future leaders.
