WNC Leaders join together to reach new heights.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, WNC leaders aren’t just managing businesses, they’re rebuilding communities. That is why we have formed WNC Leadership Alliance, a new branch of Positively Asheville that focuses on leadership development, collaboration, and support.
Gallup’s 2025 Global Report on Leadership stated, “The demands of leadership are complex, but the foundation of being a good leader is rooted in meeting the needs of those who follow them.” Among the many leadership models in circulation, people’s needs from their leaders remain constant:
- Hope
- Trust
- Compassion
- Stability
When leaders are self-aware, they can answer their follower’s needs when and where their strengths are called upon and thereby have a positive influence on people’s lives.
There are routines for managing health, nutrition, fitness, and stress. Along with these practices, we would do well to consider a routine for practicing leadership.
This alliance is organized to create a foundational leadership curriculum based on the wants and needs of our local business community. Complementing the foundation studies, the alliance will provide leaders access to ongoing ways to define, develop and refine their individual leadership strengths.
Who We Are:
An alliance between leadership coaches, mentors, and instructors to educate, develop, and support area leaders who, in turn, improve lives and create opportunities for the WNC Community to thrive.
Our Why:
The demands on leaders have never been greater or more complex. Leaders and aspiring leaders need a source of learning and guidance where they can find solutions to the problems that challenge their success.
What We Do:
- Digital and In-Person Leadership Curriculum
- Leadership Lab and Mastermind for Critical Thinking
- Video/Podcast Series for Awareness and Insights
- Survey of Are Businesses and Organizations to assess leadership Wants and Needs
